Patek Philippe is considered to be one of the world's finest and most prestigious watch brands, known for its exceptional craftsmanship, timeless designs, innovative movements, and commitment to quality.

Watch Auctions @ Gardiner Houlgate we are privileged to present two fine private examples to be included in the Autumn Three-Day Watch Auction to be held from the 20th through to the 22nd October 2025.

The headline of the two is this stunning Nautilus 'First Series' model, reference 5711/1A-001 housing the calibre 315 SC 29 jewel movement. Presented in excellent condition with full papers and boxes purchased in 2008.

The Nautilus reference 5711 was launched in 2006 with the 'First Series' watches housing the calibre 315 SC movement. After six months Patek Philippe equipped the model 5711 with the new cal. 324 SC movement. It is thought that the cal. 324 SC, destined for the 5711, was not ready in time for the launch of the model and the cal. 315 SC was used instead for this brief period.

It is believed that only around a 1,000 models of the 5711 exist with the calibre 315 SC movement, making it a rare variant of the much admired Nautilus reference 5711.

Christies sold an identical model in March 2022 for USD 176,400

Estimate £50,000-80,000

The other fine example is this Calatrava Pilot Travel Time 18ct white gold gentleman's wristwatch, reference no. 5524G-001 with the automatic calibre 324 SC 29 jewel movement. Presented in excellent condition with the full set and purchased in December 2018 from EP Mallory & Son, Bath.

Estimate - £18,000-22,000
