Frank Allen (born Francis Renaud McNeice) is an English bass guitarist playing in Cliff Bennett and The Rebel Rousers and The Searchers. He joined Cliff Bennett and the Rebel Rousers as rhythm guitarist in 1961, until taking over bass duties in 1962, following the departure of Ben Jordan. In 1964, Frank joined The Searchers, replacing original bassist, Tony Jackson.

Frank Allen’s debut single with the band, and arguably The Searchers most iconic track “When You Walk in The Room”, made it to number three in the UK, with Frank sharing dual lead vocal duties with Mike Pender.

Still touring with The Searchers to this day, Frank also turned his hand to writing, including his books Travelling Man in 1999 and biography of the Searchers entitled The Searchers And Me – A History of the Legendary Sixties Hitmakers, as well as articles for newspapers and periodicals.
